I brought my easel and paints to the kecak dance performance last night. Kecak is a dance-theatre performed in front of a temple. Kecak is known as a monkey chant. there is a battle (of course) from the Ramayana in which hanuman and prince Rama and Sita I think all come out. I actually don’t know all the characters that come out. This performance was very good with lots of different characters bad and good, interacting with each other. It ends with the men cleared away and a mystical horse and rider rushing through coals and flames.
